Does Lubbers use its own trucks to transport all cargoes? |
Lubbers transports more than 80% of its cargo in Europe using its own trucks and trailers. The equipment used by Lubbers is specifically designed and certified for the oil and gas industry. However, because of flexibility considerations and the need to be able to offer extra capacity to its customers at short notice, Lubbers also uses a preferred group of high-quality, approved subcontractors.

Does Lubbers operate a fixed trucking network? |
Lubbers operates scheduled truck services between all its European stations. In most cases, there is a daily service. Lubbers’ stations also act as a local Hub, from which cargo can be transported on to its final destination if required. In addition to this Hub system, Lubbers also operates a large number of direct truck services, mainly for 'Hot Shot' cargoes in response to customer requests, from anywhere in Europe to any destination in Europe, or even outside Europe (e.g. Turkey).

Where can I book in my consignments? |
You can book your consignment in at any Lubbers station. Our stations are often local to you. Telephone numbers and details can be found on our web site. You are put in direct contact with our planners who are very experienced in the O&G industry. They can almost guess what you are thinking and know exactly how to transport your consignment fast and safely at a competitive price. One telephone call is all that is needed; we do the rest by providing the right transportation solution!

Does Lubbers offer all forms of road transport? |
Specialised road transport is our core business, however our objective is to provide a full logistics service to our customers in the oil and gas industry. In addition to road transport, we also offer many other services. Ranging from storage, customs clearing activities, 'turn key' relocation of complete drilling plants to providing employees on secondment. Lubbers is your partner! In addition, we also act as a freight agent for air and sea freight in order to find the right solution for all transport challenges.

What nationality do Lubbers’ drivers have? |
Most of our drivers are Dutch or English nationals, as most of our trucks operate from the Netherlands and England. However we also employ drivers who are German, Danish, Italian or Romanian nationals. Our drivers are our company calling card and an indispensable link in the process of delivering a high quality product. Consequently, we feel it essential that our drivers speak the same language as our customers.

Can Lubbers’ trucks be traced at all times? |
Nearly all our trucks are equipped with on-board TMS units, which are directly connected to our central planning system. So our planners can always see where our trucks are in real time and use that information to keep customers informed of the whereabouts of their consignments. In addition, Lubbers increasingly offers 'on-line track & trace' facilities to customers.

Does Lubbers offer its services on a 24/7 basis? |
You can contact somebody at any station at any time of the day or night for urgent matters, or for placing a transportation order. Our trucks also operate day and night throughout Europe. So Lubber’s 24/7 service is more than just an empty promise! |

Is Lubbers a financially healthy business? |
Even though margins in the transport sector are low, Lubbers’ focus on cost awareness and efficiency means that the business is financially healthy. Our policy is to develop the business in gradual steps and offer long-term continuity. The business is conservatively financed and wholly owned by private parties who fully support this long-term policy.
