Gary Roche

Chief Executive Officer

Gary began his career in Logistics in 1980 when he was appointed the very first Management Trainee for Trans Global, a UK Forwarding business headquartered in London. 

With his long track record and considerable industry experience, Gary has been a part business owner and held key senior management positions following the acquisition of his company in 2006 by IJS Global and GEFCO, following its acquisition of IJS in 2015. Gary joined Lubbers in the CEO position on 1st July 2021, where he takes the leading role in driving the organisation's continued growth strategy.

Erik Mulder

Chief Financial Officer

Erik holds a master’s degree in fiscal law and earned his stripes with management positions in both finance and logistics. He started his working career as a state tax-accountant and advisor at the National Tax Office (Belastingdienst) and later on at KPMG Meijenburg and HLB Nannen.

Following, Erik became national news within the football scene, becoming the youngest professional football club (FC Groningen) Treasurer in the history of Dutch professional football. Under his financial leadership, FC Groningen grew into a top club in Dutch football. Erik played a leading role in the planning, development and realisation of the new football stadium ‘Euroborg’. In 2016, he joined the Supervisory Board of the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) as a member. Erik has been our Chief Financial Officer since 2012.

Maarten Bedaf

Chief Commercial Officer

Maarten is an experienced general and commercial manager in the logistics industry. He started his carrier at a local trucking company, after which he gained multidisciplinary experience in managing complex logistics projects.
Before joining Lubbers Logistics Group, he worked for logistics companies such as Kuehne & Nagel, CEVA Logistics and DSV Global Transport and Logistics. Maarten developed a solution to be more cost-effective in the entire supply chain of several verticals. At DSV, he was part of the initial team that developed the 4PL solution in Europe

Rob van Paassen

Group Director Finance & IT

Rob began his career as a Controller in 1997. After eight years working with several companies Rob started as a freelancer working on several interim jobs and projects in the leisure and event management industry, in several professional football organizations any many more. 

From 2013 Rob became the Group Director Finance & IT for Lubbers Logistics Group and he is responsible for development and optimization of the finance department, digital strategy, IT operations and the continued strengthening of the Group’s infrastructure and network

Tony Tailford

Executive Director UK

Tony is considered the operational heart of Lubbers by many. And for the right reasons. At the age of 17, he started working with his father, a self-employed operator truck driver. Together they developed Ron Tailford Haulage (RTH) in the UK. By the age of 25, Tony was running the company.

Tony is a self-taught worker. He learned all the aspects of running a transport company, including running the yard, planning, developing the fleet and staff management by doing the job. As a result, Tony built RTH into a dominant UK-based International Transport Company specialising in the energy sector.

Pascal Lammerts van Bueren

Global Director Operations

Pascal is a military veteran who started his career in 1999 directly after his service at a small forwarder company in Rotterdam, after more than 20 years working in the world of the freight Forwarding, He became an self-taught orthodox operational specialist who always strive to the highest operational excellence and customer satisfaction level.

Before he started the Lubbers Global Freight Journey in 2018, he worked for several logistics companies such as DHL Global Forwarding, CEVA Logistics and Panalpina . Pascal looks after the operations within Lubbers Global Freight and is responsible to develop the LGF proposition together with Martijn Broers.

Steffan Christensen

Group Director Key Accounts

Steffan was born and raised in the logistics industry thanks to his father’s international road transport business in Denmark. His career started at the age of 21 with A.P. Moller Maersk as a management trainee. After this traineeship, Steffan spent 10 years with Maersk Logistics in commercial and operational management roles, including three years in China and two years in the United Kingdom. 
Although born Danish, Steffan settled down in Norway in 2007. There, he was introduced to the offshore energy sector through a logistics management position at a global oilfield services company. In this position, he worked closely together with the transport and freight forwarding industry, which made him decide to join a global freight forwarder. He started as a country manager in Norway, after which he was promoted to the corporate key account management role. Steffan joined Lubbers in 2013 and has held various commercial positions. 

Nick Latham

Regional Director UK and Nordic

Nick grew up in Australia and returned to the United Kingdom to complete senior school at Gordonstoun and then some time studying Business Management at the University near Edinburgh in Scotland.

After University, Nick started his working career at the Energy Drinks Company Red Bull in a sales & marketing position. This enabled him to broaden his career within a large international company and gain exposure to many aspects of the workings of a large business. 

Nick joined Lubbers in 2011 where he started his sales career as a sales manager. In 2016 he was promoted to Sales and Marketing Director in the UK and since 2021 he holds a position as Regional Director UK & Nordic. 


Martijn Broers

Martijn began his career in the supply chain in 2001 at KLM Aerospace Logistics. In this role he build a strong track record in the logistics as well in the aerospace industry.

In 2009 he joined Cargo Masters as one of the business owners and following the acquisition of Cargo Masters by Lubbers in 2020 he had an important role in the integration. Now a days he is working together with Pascal further developing Global Freight.
