Lubbers Global Freight B.V. and its operating subsidiaries – the international freight forwarding business unit of Lubbers Logistics Group B.V. (“Lubbers”) – will soon be fully integrated within the AIT Worldwide Logistics, Inc. (“AIT”) group of companies. This is the final step of the strategic transition period following AIT’s acquisition of Lubbers in 2024. Effective Wednesday, January 1, 2025, the Lubbers name will be retired for the Global Freight business unit only. On that date, the affected Lubbers Global Freight locations in the Netherlands, Türkiye and the U.K. will begin operating as AIT Worldwide Logistics at these locations:
Netherlands (Lubbers Global Freight Netherlands B.V. will merge into AIT Worldwide Logistics B.V.)
- Amsterdam
- Eindhoven
- Rotterdam
Türkiye (Lubbers Global Freight Transport Ltd. Sti. renamed AIT Worldwide Logistics Transport Ltd. Sti.)
- Istanbul
United Kingdom (Lubbers Global Freight UK Ltd. assets will be sold to AIT Worldwide Logistics (UK) Ltd.)
- Aberdeen*
- Bristol
- London
In 2025, you may notice some brand changes the next time you interact with us. The AIT logo will be adopted for use on former Lubbers Global Freight buildings, business platforms, invoicing, directories, and more. Also, when you receive an email from us, the email address will end in “@aitworldwide.com”. Additional details about accounting changes for billing and invoicing will be provided in a separate communication to customers and partners. Rest assured; our service will only improve, and we’ll still have the same highly experienced teammates working to deliver the best global freight forwarding solutions with door-to-door visibility provided by our cutting-edge logistics technology.
Lubbers Road Transport and Lubbers Project & Services are not part of this transition and will continue to operate under the Lubbers name as subsidiaries of AIT. * At the Aberdeen location, the Lubbers Global Freight team will transition to become AIT Worldwide Logistics; the Lubbers Road Transport team in Aberdeen will not be affected.
